A Year 12 student at Matthew Flinders Anglican College will make history as the first ever Youth Parliamentarian for the Ninderry electorate.
Member for Ninderry Dan Purdie MP this week met with 17 year old Natasha Waldroff, from Forest Glen, who will represent the electorate when the YMCA Youth Parliament launches in Brisbane this weekend.
Mr Purdie said he was delighted Natasha had put her hand up for the position.
“I was delighted to be able to meet Natasha and congratulate her on her new role,” Mr Purdie said.
“Natasha is a high achieving student who will be a wonderful representative for young people in our region.”
Natasha, a former national springboard diving champion, also has a keen interest in politics, and hopes to do a double degree in law and business when she finishes school later this year.
She will be working on the Agriculture, Environment and Natural Resources Department as part of her YMCA Youth Parliament role.
