Thank a First Responder Day is a time to honour the police officers, firefighters, paramedics and emergency personnel who are there for us when we need them most. Their work is demanding, often dangerous, and essential to saving lives and keeping our communities safe.

Minister for Police and Emergency Services and Member for Ninderry Dan Purdie delivered morning tea to first responders across the Ninderry electorate to let them know how much we value their service.

“Our first responders play a vital role in serving our community every day. Today is an opportunity to honour them for their dedication, sacrifice and professionalism,” Mr Purdie said.

“Every day these professionals face unpredictable situations – from road traffic accidents and criminal incidents to natural disasters and medical emergencies.”

“They work under intense pressure, often under difficult conditions and they deserve our recognition and support.”

Mr Purdie delivered morning tea treats to officers at Eumundi and Coolum Police Stations, Coolum and Maroochydore Fire and Emergency Services and the Queensland Ambulance Service Communications Centre in Maroochydore.
