Major upgrade secured for busy Bli Bli Road

A busy arterial road connecting the rapidly growing Bli Bli community is set to receive a multi-million dollar facelift.

Ninderry MP Dan Purdie said he was happy to announce TMR had allocated $2.3million for the upgrade, which will see the section of Bli Bli Road east of the Bruce Highway rebuilt and realigned to improve safety.

“This is fantastic news for the Bli Bli community and surrounding areas,” Mr Purdie said.

“Over the past 12 months local residents have raised concerns about the condition of the busy road, which is a key access route for communities in this area, so I am delighted to see the funds allocated to this important project under way.”

Mr Purdie said the project will involve widening in key locations, as well as the repair and replacement of culverts.

TMR have advised that works will be undertaken between 7pm and 6am to minimise disruptions.
