There was plenty of smiles when Ninderry MP Dan Purdie dropped in to help celebrate centenarian Evelyn Le Blanc’s milestone birthday today.
Mrs Le Blanc celebrated her 100th birthday a day earlier with fellow residents at Regis Kuluin Aged Care, with Mr Purdie stopping by to deliver his own birthday wishes.
“It’s not every day you get the chance to blow out 100 candles, so it was a real delight to meet Evelyn and pass on my best wishes for such a wonderful occasion,” Mr Purdie said.
Although Evelyn was very grateful for the arrangement of flowers Dan presented, she said she would have preferred wine and chocolate, which she said was her secret to ageing so gracefully.
Aunty Babe, as she is known to her family and friends, will celebrate again tomorrow, with a special function at Maroochy Surf Club.
