Kuluin community gearing up for school fair

After a long hiatus, the Kuluin School Fete is finally back, and with a cracker line up of events and entertainment being planned, locals are being encouraged to come along and celebrate a great afternoon of family friendly fun this Saturday 11 August, from 10am-3pm.

Ninderry MP Dan Purdie, one of the event sponsors, said while he was excited to be involved, he was wary of what is in store for him, after the event organisers asked him to bring along his goggles and snorkel.

“Congratulations to school principal Corrie Connors and the P&C for all their hard work in reviving the school’s annual fete, the first in 14 years,” Mr Purdie said.

Mr Purdie said along with all the traditional highlights of a school fair, including rides and games, show bags, food trucks, entertainment and market stalls, there will also be a fantastic display of vintage cars.

“I am not sure what I will need my goggles and snorkel for, but the P&C have assured me it won’t involve the dunking machine, so I will be there with bells on!”

“It looks set to be a great day out, and I am looking forward to locals coming out in force to help the school community celebrate the return of this event.” Prepaid ride tickets are available from the school tuckshop or flexischools.com.au.
