Investment in Coolum High reaping rewards

Investment in infrastructure will help ensure students at Coolum State High continue to kick goals, Ninderry MP Dan Purdie said today.

Mr Purdie said the new $5.1million two storey learning centre, officially opened today at the school today, was yet another positive step forward in the school’s ongoing efforts to promote and foster learning and excellence.

“Coolum High has been setting a high standard across all areas of the curriculum, and this new facility will only further enhance the ability of the dedicated and committed teaching staff to encourage students to reach their potential,” Mr Purdie said.

The new learning centre is part of a $12million investment in the school, which includes a $6.3million learning centre currently under construction and expected to be completed next year, and a $400,000 upgrade to the canteen.

“It’s important that our local kids have access to first class learning facilities to help them reach their full potential, and that is exactly what we are seeing here at Coolum High,” Mr Purdie said.
