Christmas will be a little bit brighter for some of the community’s less fortunate thanks to the generosity of a handful of local businesses.
With more than 100 expected to attend tomorrow’s annual Coolum Hearts Christmas lunch, Ninderry MP Dan Purdie and his elves have been busy putting together gift bags for the attendees, with the contents donated by businesses including Whites IGA, Mosaic Property Group, Dentistry on Coolum, Bendigo Bank Marcoola, and McDonalds Coolum.
“This event, now in its 5th year, is a chance for those less fortunate to enjoy some Christmas cheer, and it’s fantastic to see the spirit of the season being spread by our business community,” Mr Purdie said.
“The fact that they give back to the community that supports them shows why we are so lucky to all call the Sunshine Coast home.”
